Acrylic Solid Surface

Acrylic or Solid Surface is a type of material that is nonporous, which means it doesn't stain and doesn't harbour harmful bacteria. This makes it an ideal choice for kitchen use, food prep surfaces, and medical or commercial environments where hygiene is crucial.
Solid surface or acrylic countertops, worktops or vanities are made without any crevices that can trap dirt, mould, mildew, or bacteria. Moreover, their seamless design makes these countertops even more hygienic and easier to maintain.

Solid surface is highly durable and resistant to scratches, chips, and dents that may occur from daily wear and tear. However, accidents do happen, and if your solid surface countertop gets damaged, it can be repaired. Cracks and chips can be filled quickly without leaving any trace of damage.

Solid surface or acrylic countertops are composed of 33 percent binding resins and 66 percent minerals. These minerals are made of a bauxite derivative and an aluminum trihydrate (ATH), which is a fine white powder that helps to maintain the surface's smooth consistency.

Care & Maintenance

General Cleaning
Remove dirt and residue by cleaning with soapy water or an ammonia-based cleaner; rinse and dry.

Stains
To remove stubborn stains, dilute bleach or denatured alcohol with water and apply the mixture on a cotton cloth. Rinse with water and wipe dry.

Disinfecting
Surfaces can be disinfected by wiping with a mixture of water and household bleach (1:1 ratio), followed by rinsing with clear water and wiping dry.

Heat
To prevent heat damage, always use trivets or hot pads under hot objects and electronic cookware. Prolonged or extreme heat exposure can cause discoloration.

Scratches
Use a cutting board instead of cutting directly on your countertop. Remove minor cuts and scratches with an abrasive pad. Rub the affected area with the pad, wet the surface, and rub with finer pads in larger circles until it blends with the surrounding surface. Rinse with clear water and wipe dry.
